  • Helped enhance our Security by leading successfully on the lighting project in consultation with proprietors; negotiated free trials.
  • Liaised successfully with our MP, Councillors and Police to fight against undesirables
  • Helped pioneered initiatives on Fencing, CCTV and Gating

  • Kept the garden rate at reasonable levels for the future by realising savings wherever possible e.g. Achieved ~£15k pa and ~£35k pa price reductions representing ~£150k savings over a triennial through change in Managing Agents and grounds contractors

Mick Montgomery (Deputy Chair/Treasurer)

I bring to the Turnpike Hill Trust my many years’ of experience in accountancy, systems implementation, training and consultancy. For over 15 years I ran my own consultancy firm and now manage the project/client management and financial systems for a multi-national environmental consultancy.

Steve Porter

Famil Ismailov

I am a journalist and broadcaster, and I have been living in Turnpike Link for over 18 years. I have seen our community going through good and challenging times and I would like to give something back to make things better. I was part of the Lighting sub-committee that recommended and helped to improve our estates lighting.

Arunima Roy

I believe in clear vision, focused and defined objectives for an organisation, and I aid development of strategic plans to achieve the same.  I work as part of a team, which is key to the functioning of the Trust. I believe in a supportive informal team atmosphere, listening to others and giving constructive feedback. I am equally comfortable with disagreements and respect diverse views.  Financial Management is a very important activity and this should be channeled to accomplish the objective of the organisation. I believe I can contribute ably to budgeting and governing of income, expenses and assets. I respect confidentiality, and the need to adhere to the Trust’s code of conduct.  I hope my commitment in the common interest of the owners of Turnpike link, Leyburn Gardens and Maybourne Grange will help me contribute positively in meeting the objectives of the Turnpike Hill Trust.

Tass Malik

A qualified civil engineer with over 25 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, Tass brings excellent technical skills, management experience having led teams of over 200 people and category management experience of contracts. Tass has both lived and owned properties on the estate in both Turnpike Link and Leyburn Gardens for over 25 years.  Locally, he has served as a School governor for the Park Hill Primary School Junior School where his three girls who grew up on the estate studied.  Tass has a background in Finance & Audit and together with his excellent commercial skills provides resilience by adding value to the running of the estate and its contracts.

Tabassum Rahman

I have lived in Turnpike Link my entire life and therefore the estate is very precious to me. I have seen many changes within the estate over the years but what remains constant is that Turnpike Link is such a unique, diverse, calm and comfortable place to live. I am really keen to contribute by giving back to the community here. I currently work in marketing in the tech sector but have been fortunate to have worked in many different sectors throughout my career such as retail and veterinary. I have skills in marketing and communications. I like to think outside of the box and am a creative person. I have always loved to talk to people and to discover different perspectives and new ways of doing things but with the aim of the greater good and with the bigger picture in mind.
